Sew Small Exhibition - 2016

"Sew Small" was an exhibition of members' work which was held at the Forge Mill Needle Museum, Redditch.  There were over 250 miniature items made by 35 members of the Society.

 

The show was sponsored by Muriel Hopwood of Miniatura and Madeira UK LtdBarbara's Mouldings kindly donated the "Kensington" dollshouse, which was beautifully decorated by one of our members, and used to exhibit many of the items. Kim Selwood also kindly donated some pieces of exqusitie furniture which members embellished with embroidery.

In this gallery you will see just a selection of items that were on display at the exhibition.

 

All the miniature items shown here are 1/12th scale and hand made using techniques which include: beadwork, crochet, knitting, bobbin lace and needlepoint,

A CD was produced which contained more of the items on display and copies of this may still be available to purchase (cost £5) from the Miniature Needlework Society stand at Miniatura.
