The idea for this competition came from the fact that 2022 was the 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Miniature Needlework Society but the theme was widened as 2022 also coincided with Queen Elizabeth II's platinum Jubilee. It was then generalised further to expand the focus beyond UK events and allow members to create items that related to more personal anniversaries.

 

For a variety of reasons we had fewer entries in this competition but I hope you will agree that the standard of the work is still very high and the techniques employed were still varied. These items were on display at both Spring Miniatura in March 2023 and Kensington Dollshouse Festival in May 2023.
