Sew Small Showcase.jpg

A selection of needlework from the Sew Small Exhibition held at the Needle Forge Museum, Redditch in 2016.

The Miniature Needlework Society welcomes anyone interested in needlework in miniature, whether a beginner, more experienced or expert.

We have members all over the world including in the USA, Australia and Europe, and are always looking for new members to spread the popularity of, and interest in, miniature needlework, as well as  bringing fresh ideas to the Society.

Membership includes:

  • Three Newsletters each year, which give details of forthcoming events, sources for materials, charts and patterns, general infomation, and members' news.

  • A members' only Facebook group for discussions including asking for help, showing your work and exchanging ideas as well as giving encouragement to others members.

  • Zoom meetings, where members can get to know members from all around the world, discuss projects, exchange ideas, ask for advice, and have a chance to show work in progress or finished items.

  • In the UK, the Society also holds occasional workshops where members can learn new skills and techniques.

  • Members' only competitions or projects - usually related to a particular theme or topic - using any form of miniature needlework.in 1/12th (or 1/24) scale.

The Society exhibits members' work at various dollshouse and miniatures fairs throughout the UK.
