One time event
This one day workshop will take place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 24th February and will give you the chance to learn the technique of Kumihimo braid making. The demonstrator will be Pat Wootton.
Kumihimo looks like a combination of French knitting (using a 'knitting Nancy' style disc with a hole in the middle and slots around the outside) and the making of friendship bracelets. Pieces of braid created using this technique are ideal to finish the edging of cushions or even upholstery on pieces of furniture and can be as fine or heavy as you wish.
It will held be in Frenchay, near Bristol. Please contact Teresa Norton to book your place by 1st February. You may also contact her for any further information such as time and directions. Any charge made will be used to cover the cost of materials.
Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.
